World's Only Formula 1 Night Race: Formula 1 2019 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix
Get set for the Formula 1 2019 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix, the world’s only full night race in the Formula One calendar and Asia’s first Formula 1 street circuit. The 12th edition of the race, which runs from 20 to 22 September, takes place on a street circuit of public roads around the Marina Bay area. The complete race includes a total of 61 laps with 23 turns.
One Of The Fastest Street Circuits
Witness the cars race in exhilarating speeds of up to 325km/hr through the 5.063km-long Marina Bay Street Circuit which offers a combination of long straights, and fast and demanding turns, providing drivers with a gruelling challenge fit only for champions.
To ensure optimal visibility for drivers, marshals and spectators, a bespoke state-of-the-art lighting system featuring 1,600 light projectors has been designed. The system minimises glare and reflections from a wet surface or spray from cars through lighting projectors strategically positioned around the circuit. The logistical set up is vast and the lighting is four times brighter than those at sports stadiums.
Gwen Stefani will perform at the Padang Stage in Zone 4 on 21 September from 7.45pm
Enjoy over 90 hours of entertainment over the race weekend. This year’s performers include Grammy Award-winning American singer-songwriter Gwen Stefani, Californian rock legends Red Hot Chili Peppers, Swedish house music supergroup Swedish House Mafia, British superstar DJ and producer Fatboy Slim, multi award-winning German composer Hans Zimmer, Grammy Award-winning British rock band Muse, Jamaican legends Toots and the Maytals, British musical duo Lighthouse Family and British indie-synth quintet The Ramona Flowers, American roots band Larkin Poe and Scottish pop rock band Texas.
